In years 2003, 2004 and 2005 we participated in expeditions to the Mongolian region of eastern Gobi. The main expedions goal was underground water prospection in the aymag of Dornogobi. We searched for aquifers by the way of geophysical prospection in following localities: Urguun (result of geophysical water prospection in this semidesert region was a drill hole with yield 1 l/s), Ulaan Uul (Erdene)(semidesert Gobi - resulting drill hole has yield 1,7 l/s in the locality of several unsuccessfull international hydrogeological expeditions), Zamyn Uud (southern edge of semidesert Gobi - resulting drill hole has yield 2,5 l/s), Sainshand (center of Dornogobi aymag - resulting drill hole has yield 3 l/s), Bomt (southern berder of mongolian Gobi - two resulting drill holes had yield 1,4 l/s a 0,2 l/s),... According to geological database in UB the hit rate of our geophysically situated drill holes was one of highest in Mongolian region of Dornogobi. Here you can see several interesting photoes:
