Measurement of PPV (peak particle velocity) and of other parameters of seismic waves for evaluation of their influence on constructions stability and their health

Example of PPV and other parameters measurement during the 2D seismics Svidnik, Medzilaborce & Snina - Slovakia. We used line of 10 3D geophones PE-6 with natural frequency 4,8 Hz and with step of receiver 6 m. Geophone spread thou had length 54 m. For evaluation of decay curve we made 4 shots with step 12,5 m and every shot was registered for 40 seconds (10 s before shot).
Klikněte pro zvětšení In the case of vibrator group there was the smallest distance of source to geophone array edge 4 m and then it was increased + 12,5 m every record. Klikněte pro zvětšení We registered 260 distances receiver - shot and we evaluated COMPLIANCE REPORTs (DIN4150) for every shot abd 3D geophone. Then we constructed graphs of decay curve - PPV and PPV/L3 (level 3 from DIN4150) with distance source - 3D receiver.

Accordingto this parameters we evaluated possibility of causation of damage of buildings near source profiles and determinated safe - non-hazardous distance Ds for various kinds of objects and seismic energy sources. Klikněte pro zvětšení
